Alberta Independence Event
Wainwright ~ Thursday January 29th
Hi Everyone,
We understand many of you are eager to get out and sign the Alberta Independence petition. Several members of our group are working behind the scenes to support this cause. We’re organizing a few local events, with the first one taking place in Wainwright this Thursday evening!
The doors will open at 4:00 pm for you to stop by and connect with community members, including some of our dedicated “For the Kids’ Sake” members who have been actively involved in this movement. We’ll be available to help answer any questions you might have. You’re also welcome to come anytime throughout the evening to sign the petition, as canvassers will be on site to assist. At 7:00 pm, guest speakers Tanner Hnidey and Dustin Newman will present on Alberta Independence.
Please be aware that to sign the petition, you need to be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old, and a resident of Alberta. To verify your identity and voter eligibility, please present one government issued ID showing your name and current residential address, or two IDs with your name, one displaying your current physical address and the other a photo ID. For those living in rural areas, your physical address (legal land location or 911 address) is required and must be verified with documents such as property tax notices or assessments, utility bills, or bank/credit card statements. If you do not have a document showing your physical address, you must fill out an attestation form before signing. This form can be downloaded from the Elections Alberta website, and copies will also be available at the event.
